This review was conducted according to PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) guidelines PubMed database was searched until 31 October 2020, using the key terms: 'Night Eating Syndrome' AND 'complications' OR 'diagnosis' OR 'drug therapy' OR 'epidemiology' OR 'etiology' OR 'physiology' OR 'physiopathology' OR 'psychology' OR 'therapy'.įrom a total of 239 citations, 120 studies assessing night eating syndrome met the inclusion criteria to be included in the review. Are those real stories?ĭuring the four months that I did only research before I started writing, I printed out and collected all the newspaper stories. ![]() Throughout the book, a series of excerpts from newspaper stories, many of which are written by Miri’s uncle Henry Ammerman. Maybe it was because we were all terrified, but we needed to come up with explanations, and the boys were into outer space and the communists and the aliens. I wanted them to be as old as they could be, but I needed somebody at that junior high school because I needed somebody to report about the boys. Miri, one of my protagonists, is in ninth grade.
